January 10, 2018 Salem, Or – I enjoy watching the Chemeketa Storm women’s team because there is so much potential and I am just waiting for it all to be released.  However. this game would not be that game as they fell to the visiting Mt. Hood Saints 69-61.

In the first quarter I thought for sure the Storm was going to pick up a home win as they had a 6 point, 16-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.  They were hustling and playing good team ball.

The second quarter belonged to the Saints as they outplayed and outscored Chemeketa 23-17.  Going into the half the game was tied at 33.

The third quarter also belonged to Mt. Hood and at the end of three the Saints lead 51-44.

Chemeketa scored 17 in the fourth but the Saints scored 18.

Chemeketa is now 0-2 in league play and 2-8 overall.

Mt. Hood is now 2-1 and 5-5.
