Sept. 29, 2016 Dayton, OR – The last time the Amity Warriors and the Dayton Pirates met it was in Amity and the Pirates picked up the win, 4-0. This time, the game was held at the Pirates’ stadium and produced similar results. Dayton defeated the Warriors 4-1.
The Pirates were more aggressive and more refined when it came to setting up their shots on goal, which they had plenty of. The Warriors made some nice runs on the goal but those were few and far between.
Dayton is now 6-1 in 3A-2 West Valley League play and 6-4 overall. Their only league loss was to the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers, 3-2. The Pirates in the STSN top ten list.
Amity is now 2-5 in 3A-2 West Valley League play and 2-6 overall.
A special shout out to the Amity keeper. We lost count on how many saves she had.
