Sept. 1, 2023 Toledo, OR – The Knappa Loggers traveled to Toledo to face the Boomers in a non-league season opener game. Both teams were shaking off the early season jitters and beginning to figure out their style of play.
With 2:29 left in the first half Knappa scored and were up by 2, 14-12.
On the ensuing kickoff a helmet to helmet collision echoed through the stadium. A Logger player did not get up. Several minutes later administration cleared the entire stadium.
Soon after the clearing the game was cancelled.
