In volleyball action the Newport Cubs hosted and defeated the Cascade Cougars 3-1. (25-11, 25-19, 16-25, 25-22)
It looked like it was going to be an easy time for the Cubs but, Cascade regrouped and took the third set. In the fourth set Cascade was leading and it appeared they were going to take the fourth set. However, Newport dug deep and came from behind to win that set.
