The Coquille Red Devils were on the road looking to win the 2A Sunset Conference Title against the #3 Toledo Boomers. The Boomers held the #1 position until their loss to Bandon.
This game started with Toledo finding the end zone first. With 10:38 left in the first quarter they were leading Coquille 7-0.
It was only a few minutes and the Red Devils were also on the scoreboard. The scored on their two-point conversion attempt. 6:01 left in the first Coquille was up 8-7.
Then, both defenses stepped up and thwarted attempts to score until near the end of the first half.
It would be the Red Devils who would finally add points to the board. Another touchdown and conversion put Coquille up 16-7 with 1:28 left in the first half.
At the 9:26 mark in the third Coquille would add another eight points and then with 5:28 left in third quarter the Boomers would also score. Heading into the fourth quarter Coquille was up 24-14.
In the fourth the Red Devils would outscore Toledo 8-6 and go on to pick up the 32-20 win.
With the victory the #2 Red Devils are assured home field advantage until the semifinals. They now host #15 Santiam.
The #5 Boomers will host #12 Lost River.
