Sept. 22, 2016 Salem, OR – The Salem Academy Crusaders are having a difficult season start. It’s not that they don’t have the talent, it just seems that can’t put together a complete game. This was relevant as they hosted the Taft Tigers. The Crusades had glimmers of great play but it wasn’t enough as they fell to the Tigers 5-3.
In this game, Taft was a quiet scoring team. When you least expect it, they attack and then the next thing you know, gooooooooooal!
With the loss, Salem Academy is now 1-6 overall and sitting near the bottom of the 3A/2A/1A. The only team below them is Gervais who are 0-6.
Taft is now 3-3 overall and at the middle of the pack.
