Timpview Wins Inaugural Capitol City Classic

Dec. 23, 2015 Salem, Or – And then there were two.  The Capitol Auto Group (CAG) division started with eight teams just a few days earlier and was reduced to two out of state teams facing for the championship title.  The Timpview Thunderbirds from Provo, UT was one and the other was the Centennial Bulldogs from Las Vegas, NV. Timpview defeated Sprague and South Eugene and Centennial defeated West Salem and Wilsonville. So, of course, this championship game was shaping up to be an exciting match-up. Lone Peak Holds Westlake Scoreless For Three Quarters

Sept. 25, 2015 Saratoga Springs, UT – The Lone Peak Knights traveled to Westlake High School to take on the Thunder and picked up the 42-7 conference win. The Knights accumulated 35 points in the first half and held the Thunder scoreless for the first three quarters.  Lone Peak and Westlake both put seven points on the board in the fourth quarter but for the Thunder, it was too little too late. Sideline Chatter – Coaches Are Role Models

High school sports action is in full swing and there is a coach related issue that I feel needs to be addressed.
